ABOUT US

Cordell Farley was born and raised in Blackstone, VA.  He attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 1996. Mr. Farley spent his entire career with the Cardinals in their minor league organization. After his baseball career ended, Mr. Farley returned to Virginia to pursue his second passion of educating and inspiring youth.

Latrice Hawkes Farley was born and raised in Nottoway County, VA. She graduated from Mary Washington University in 1997 with a BA degree in Business Adminstration. Latrice worked for several corporate businesses before making a career change and becoming a Special Education Teacher.

Cordell was also a Special Education teacher for 5 years before deciding to venture into entrepreneurship along with Latrice. Together, they have created and owned several businesses.

Mr. Farley is now a motivational speaker for youth and professionals and Latrice is an educational consultant. Together they have created educational programs that focus on self awareness and social and emotional learning.

Life Lessons of a Throwaway Kid is Cordell's first book that offers a glimpse into his life growing up as a foster kid, and how he used sports to triumph over the many obstacles he endured both as a child and, later, as an adult.

Latrice is currently working on a children's series entitled Lil' C's Life Lessons that will tackle a variety of issues that adolescents face on a daily basis.
